The Classical Tulip Scarf is made from our thick 100% silk twill. The center print comes from a piece of fabric from the 1820'ies France, featuring a very big tulip in the center along with other flowers and plants plants. Along the border is another print, but this one is from a paisley from the 1880'ies England. Both antique fabrics come from our archive. The french flowerprinted fabric was purchased from a collector in England, whereas the english Paisley was purchased in France.
The fabric is extremely soft to the touch and has a beautiful matt surface. All of our twill scarves are printed on both sides to ensure that the print is equally clear and striking no matter which way you fold it. The edges are rolled and sewn by hand – a time-intensive process that gives the scarf a very handsome hem.
